You're probably wasting opportunities to improve every day...

I share 4 actionable steps to help you stop wasting time.

Hey Decision Maker,

I’ll be honest with you, this is the first time I’m writing this newsletter on a Sunday morning (it’s supposed to be Saturday).

Does it really matter? Probably not, but I’d rather share with you how I’m certainly not perfect, and you shouldn’t expect to be either.

We’re on self improvement to build our dream life, not self-perfection.

I missed my usual newsletter writing schedule because I had my yearly health check-up scheduled.

It probably took 4 hours out of my day, which messed up my routine.

But what’s more important than your health?

Turns out everything was A-OK & I’m not gonna die anytime soon.

After that, I tried out the new Bacha Coffee that opened in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

I’d recommend it if ever you get the chance:

Bacha Coffee, KL

P.S. It’s also the perfect date spot fellas, thank me later if you’re reading from Malaysia or Singapore.

Ok enough about me, let’s get into YOU:

FITNESS: Do you ice your face in the morning?

I’ve got two great tips for this week. I’ll put one here under ‘fitness’ and squeeze the other under ‘mindset’.

Do you ever think of automatic tasks or habits you do each day that seem so obvious to you?

Maybe it’s making your bed, or cleaning your teeth. Pretty normal stuff.

But sometimes if you double-check yourself, you’ll find a task that isn’t normal.

For me, that’s icing my face when I wake up. Seriously, it’s on my calendar.

This is my real calendar.

I sit down at my computer with a big glass of water & ice my face (& more) while going through my daily bookmarks each morning.

It’s not some American Psycho shit - it actually has a great benefit.

First, Malaysia’s just hot AF in general. So ice on your skin is an awesome way to wake the body up.

Second, it reduces puffiness and just makes you feel ‘fresh.’

Thirdly, it probably has similar benefits to cold showers.

You’re firing your CNS up on a micro-scale.

I see no reason not to include this in your morning routine.

It feels good, helps you look good, and is just a great start to the day & your fitness & grooming regimen.

Actionable step:

Find an ice pack or get some frozen stuff out of your freezer. Try icing your face for 2-3 minutes tomorrow morning. See how you feel and if it’s something you’d like to keep doing.

MINDSET: Meal prepping on Sundays

Now this is fitness-related on the surface but it’s all about mindset & productivity.

Set your week up for success.

The best decisions you can make are always to keep shit simple and focus on doing a task once, so you don’t need to think about it again.

Meal-prepping is a great example: you waste so much time and mental energy thinking about what to eat every. single. day.

It’s the biggest productivity killer there is.

We have to eat, pretty much every single day.

So make a decision to prepare in batch, in advance, to save potentially YEARS of your future life.

So how do I do it?

Every Sunday morning, before anyone else wakes up, I fire up the pan and cook minced beef or chicken breast.

At least one meal for each day I have to go to the office (3 x week).

It takes 20 minutes max & I can multi-task as it takes almost zero effort once you know your routine.

Then I have all my lunches set for the week.

Saving me time and energy.

AND it’s easier to track, as I know exactly the amount I cooked and the calories and macros.

Actionable step:

Set aside 30 minutes next Sunday (any day is fine, but Sunday usually works best) to intentionally cook, prepare or even plan your meals for the week. You’re much more likely to stick to your diet if you do this and you WILL save time and mental energy > boosting your productivity & output.

MONEY: Google Maps Reviews are underrated (use them)

I believe you create purpose and fulfilment in life by providing value to others.

If you EVER say you are ‘bored’ it’s because you’re wasting your potential to do the above ^

It’s impossible to be ‘bored’ in 2024 unless you want to be.

Here’s a super simple task to do whenever you have a few mins:

Last night I posted 6 reviews on Google Maps while waiting for dinner to arrive.

I had the best claypot of my life thanks to the Google Maps rating.

So leave a review to help others, like they helped me and my family.

It's super fkn easy and it adds value to your local community ↓

Whether you're:

• Sharing an opinion on X

• Writing helpful posts on LinkedIn

• Filming a video for YT

There’s always a way to create, produce and add value to your audience (or attract a new one).

There’s really no excuse to consume instead of create anymore.

Use social media instead of letting it (ab)use you.

P.S. At the time of sending this email those reviews had 141,000 views 👀

That’s a LOT of views!

Actionable step:

Write a Google review for a place you go to often. It could be a restaurant or a park. Whatever it is, try to post a photo or video and make it as valuable as possible for the potential reader. At the very least just give it an honest rating - it does help people.

RELATIONSHIPS: Being on time is critical

Ok, this is too often a controversial one, but I stand by it 100%.
